PURPOSE OF THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY ADVISORY BOARD (EEAB)

 

 

Town and County elected officials will appoint an advisory board of 7 members, including at least one member from the Town Council and one from the County Commission.  The Advisory Board will have no direct authority over the staff, but will meet monthly, be active advisors with the skills to help staff develop policy, assume research and policy development tasks, help establish measurable goals, identify and evaluate innovative programs to meet the mission, and develop goals and standards the energy efficiency program.The Energy Efficiency Advisory Board (EEAB) will provide leadership, direction and technical support for environmental initiatives by Town and County governments, as well as assist citizens,  businesses and non-profits in improving environmental standards.
